Financial Responsibility – Start Young
Sat, Feb 6, 2010

Today I am posting over at In Good Cents on teaching our kids financial stewardship. Working with the Care team at Sandals, I have seen so many families that are in a financial pinch due to making poor financial decisions when the economy was good. Dan and I have been talking about what we want our kids to know about taking care of their finances and setting themselves up to succeed no matter what the economy looks like.
You can read my post Financial Responsibility – Start Young HERE. Leave a comment so Beth will let me post on her site again. Thanks.

Great post babe! There’s a good reason for so much reference to money in scripture.

It would have been an even better post had I used scripture references, huh? Next time I will.

Lori,
Thank you so much for guest posting! It was great, even without scripture

We never realize how much dang baggage we collect in life on the topic of money, finances, possession, materialism, etc etc. I wish I knew at 16 years old what I know now and my life would be different.
Crown Financial Ministries – http://www.crown.org – has some fantastic resources on what the Bible has to say about your finances (believe it or not, it says more than “give it to the poor and the church”!). I can’t speak highly enough about the small group course they offer… it will change and educate your heart.
