What If… Yes, I’m Contemplating Again

Random Thoughts & Questions

Wouldn’t it be great if it was common practice to be able to re-evaluate the state of your life every few years or so, and make changed accordingly.

Yes, we re-evaluate at New Years and make resolutions that the coming year would be “our year.” We proclaim that our butts will be smaller and our resolve (and bank accounts) larger. But will they really, reeeallly?

The re-evaluation I am talking about is real life evaluation-big, God inspired life changes.

What if… every few years we all took two or three weeks off from everything (not family-just work and it’s stress and pressure. Yes, family may be work, stress and pressure but this one you have to suck up and deal with, sorry) went on a sabbatical/retreat/vacation and spent time listening to God, developing a plan with Him and had the opportunity to take another path for the coming year and beyond-all the while having the opportunity to actually head down that path without threat of hunger or foreclosure? And we got to do it again a few year later and so on and so on.

It’s a dream. But how cool would that be?

Very cool, I think.

I think it should be required. Not as in mandatory but for mental and spiritual health sake, it should be a priority. I don’t know about 3 weeks…But I know I need a few nights away from home at least 1 or 2x a year to help think clearly and make sure I’m listening to my heart, to God’s voice and all that stuff. I don’t listen well when I’m just going going going all the time.

PS thanks for the love and support and love and being you. I love you!! <3

Funny… I was just looking into wellness/yoga retreats. Such a great need to re-focus & get some sanity back.
